Hey! I have a 2001 Ranger V6 4L and wanted to put a lift on it.. I was thinking about going with the 3'' body lift because I don't plan on doing any serious off roading.. Has anyone done a body lift? I want to put 31''s on it as well. Any ideas? I saw on other places the pros and cons about the difference between body lift's and suspension lifts, and I know with the suspension lift you get more travel, but you also have to get everything re aligned, plus they are A LOT more expensive!

Thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

 

DO A SEARCH. You can put 31s on your truck at stock height. 3inch bl and 31s will look small. And Welcome to RF!

 

I would say that 20% of the people on here have a BL. IF you put one on you will need 33" tires to make it look good.

The pros of a BL is they are cheap and the cons are they arnt very performace oriented. The opposite is true about suspesions lift. They are very expensive and they are bad *** off road

TONS of info can be found in that section. If the lifted guys here, I feel comfortable in saying 75% of them are bodylifted 98+ 4x4's. AKA....your truck! You've got 30.5" tires on it now if still stock size....so 31's with 3" lift is just goofy as hell. Most go with 33x12.50's on 15x8's....and it clears it just fine.

So.....go through that section I linked above and start learnin!
