Frame repair

I have a 95 ranger 4x4 ext cab. I have some rusty frame problems. I have a 1985 regular cab ranger frame available to me for cheap (free). My question is Are the frames similar enough from cab rearward to do a rear frame swap or does anyone know of a source for frame rail repair plates. I have seen plenty rear or partial plates, but not complete rails. The frame on drivers side is worse at front spring hanger back to rear on axle. Passenger side is bad mostly around shock pedestal.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have a very similar question: 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, Reg Cab, 6 foot bed.
I debating weather to fix (patch rusting frame) bad holes just behind front spring hanger.
OR
Replace rear section.
Question in rear section replacement --- are the rivets that hold the front spring hanger the same rivets that connect the 2 sections or is it the set a few inches in front of the spring hanger?
Would either of the these 2 frame sections fit my truck?
What do they mean by : torsion bar suspension?? (I thought all ranger are Rear leaf and front coil)
