frnt axle swap

ok i am tired of ball joints, bearings, and tie rod ends giving out, so i was talkin to a buddy of mine who owns a shop, and works at the junkyard about the axle swap, he was like sure d44 is what i want, but i plan to leave it without a frnt driveshaft til i can get the new driveline, is it worth it or should i wait for the transfer case?

it's gonna go under there sooner or later. might as well get the major part of it done.

Maybe you should just get your front end aligned.. and then your front end parts will last a whole lot longer!

sorry buddy, but a D44 still has ball joints, bearings and tie rod ends..

and its not as easy as "just throwing" it under there.

Shhhh just go with it!

By then he will be fed up, and some one can pick up a really cheap Mazda and D44.

No, do the SAS. Yes, you still have ball joints, bearings and tie rod ends, but the designs are all far superior in strength. Remember, with a solid axle, you only have horizontal movement of these parts, no vertical.

a weekend would be killer.. it took us a solid day or 2 to get all the brackets off, then again we could only work for like 6 hours a day.
