Had the same problem with my 97. I eventually gave up after hours of wacking and paid $486 to get all my joints replaced. I figured out why they charge so much to replace them.

ALIGNMENT!!!!!!

no seriously, with changing your tie rod ends, even if you were careful to make sure they are the same distance, i would get an alignment to make sure it is still well aligned...

heat and a BFH will get most tie rod ends or ball joints out

no reason to wait for the 33's... the tires aren't going to make a difference in the alignment... and it will keep a few mis-aligned miles, off of your new tires...

yeah but i figured when i di the body lift im going to probably do the outer tie rod on the other side just to make sure its not going to go bad. and my tires are basically shot anyway not really worring about it. itll be done soon enough.

makes sense, i would just hate to see you drive, even for 3 or 4 days, on your new tires
