Front End Lift

Hey guys I have an 07 XLT with a coil front end. Im looking to do a budget 4 inch lift on it. I was thinking about a 3 inch spindle with a 1 inch coil spacer. Has anyone ran this set up. I don't want to buy UCA's either. and do you guys think 285s will clear? Thanks

I'm pretty sure with that set up you should be able to clear those tires with little to no rubbing. I know the lift spindles are pretty popular and I know people have ran coil spacers. Post some links to the lift parts you are wanting to get

If you're concerned about fitting a 285, you should be worried about rubbing since 285 is the WIDTH of the tire.

Exactly. 285 doesn't tell you anything about the height of the tire. I can buy 285s and 325s that are the same height.

I'm assuming he is talking about 285/75r16's just cause that is a common size but you guys raise a good point

Search for the maximum tire size chart. Should give you a good idea of what will fit w/o rubbing, or modifications.
