Front Suspension Squeak (Slow Bumps)
Ok, so I looked in some of the other squeaky threads, but noone had any pictures of good/bad suspensions..
I do belive I have leaf spring in the front, I know I have it in the back. :footinmou Do I need to replace or just lube? |
you have 4x4 or 2wd... you dont have leaf spring either way in the front, if its coming from the front its one of two things. 1 sway bar bushings that mount it to the frame just removed and grease them up... 2 a-arm bushings
|
sway arm..mine did it..greased em up..shot it all over it..hasnt done it for 15K miles
|
^^ thats what i did.
|
Same here. Sway bar bushing it was on mine. Now I have no swaybar at all so there's no problem, lol...
|
2WD..
Anyone wanna give me pics of what I need to grease up, and what yall prefer to use to apply it, and what kind of grease? |
Sway arm/a-arm bushings? For some reason i'm having a brain fart and cant think of where this is...you guys wanna help out the tard, lol.
|
Sway bar crosses in front of the front suspension (2WD and 4WD no difference by the way). The bushings bolt to the frame from the bottom. That's where your squeak most likely is.
|
I'll crawl under next time I'm going over a bump and listen.

Allright yall.. I'm still clueless on what to grease up..
I got the grease, but I need to know what.. lol.. |
your balljoints could also be bad..
|
Ok guys...
What I'll probally do is grease everything up underthere.. Do I need to be securely jacked on the front end to apply the grease for maximum yield? (So I can get the most out of greasing it up, etc.) |
