front tires bowed out!! need help!!
i have a 1994 ranger with 32 inch tires a a 4 inch lift, do i need a leveling kit to staighten my tires out??
i need help fast because the insides of my tires are about junk within 1,000 miles |
are the top of the tires in or out?
|
Dumb question but, have you had an alignment done since the lift? Every time you change your vehicles height, there will be a change in how the suspension works. Also if you have done any serious off roading you could have knocked something out of line.

the top of the tires are in.... and i just got the truck like 3-4 weeks ago so i dont know about alignment
|
You need one.

Yeah you need an alignment. If you still have plans for a leveling kit though I would do that first.

so sounds like allignment is a big thing, so is the leveling kit a need? i was just thinking that a leveling kit would rise the front a little with the independent suspension and make the tires staighter? would that work??

It will most likely lift it more than you need, and then you will be in the opposite situation: the tops of the tires will be bowed out (positive camber).
Sounds like you are just dying to put a leveling kit on, and will use any excuse to do so. Go ahead and try it if you must. But I would just go get it aligned and leave it at that. Make sure to get an alignment after you put the leveling kit on... |
