why coil overs change everything
i don't understand why when you put coil overs it gets rid of the t-bars. it just looks like a shock why cant you get the same brackets like the coilovers but put gas shocks on? im sorry i don't know much of mechanics i am just trying to figure out how the front end works

The coil on the coil over shock is the actual spring that supports the front end in place of the torsion bar. Without the coil, the front end would collapse. The shock is just there for dampening duty, the coil on the shock is what actually supports the front end. A torsion bar is basically just an unwound coil.

a coilover is just that a Coil over a shock. you need a spring of some kind in the front end 2wd XLT have coil spings and then a shock off to the side.. you have a T-bar which is a spring and then a shock on the a-arm.
a coil over combines the spring and shock. it is also adjustable on ride hight/firmness. its a more compact unit and works better....
ranger guys that buy eather camburg or RCD or Dixon bro. are getting rid of the T-bars which some people hate because the brackets hang down. plus they dont have as much travel....
