planning my lift. have a few questions?

im looking to do a Suspension Lift and was thinking about either going with the suspension Max kit

Lift Kit - 99-03 Ford Explorer 3" Lift Spindles, Blocks

or

Doestch spindles
Lift Spindle 99-03 Explorer / Edge

and a Shackle or AAL

my questions concern the Rear. i heard the Suspension Max blocks are aluminum so i really dont want to go that route.

i was wondering how much rear lift the shackles or AAL give. i know the AAL harshen the ride quality, but i also heard the shackles flatten the leaf pack.

i would just like opinions and how much lift do the shackles and/or aal add to the rear height? id like it to sit a little bit lower in the rear.

the front is limited to either a long travel set up or spindles

the rear you can do:

Chevy shackles (belltech 6400 give you about 1.5 inches)
AAL
new leafs, there are several options here. do a search

for the love of swiss cheese please dont keep your t-bars cranked all the way when you get your spindles...just look up all the spindle snout failure threads....
