What are these?

I've always wondered what these are for. I've never used them for the intended use. They tend to kill animals that run infront of me and that are about 2' tall, but what are they really for?

I've used them more for that than anything else. I don't think I would want to put a jack on a rounded surface though, especially if the truck was tilted at a decent angle. While I have this thread going, what do ya'll carry with you to get those tires off the ground. My bottle jack seized up and will NOT budge for anything.

Hi Lift..

i jack it up from the tow hooks.. probably not the greatest. but it works
in the back im not sure what im gonna do... i think i can lift it from the d rings i have welded on.. but the high lift maxes out before the tires get off the ground..im thinking of getting axle straps for trailers, and wrapping them around the frame and axle

as for the little tabs.. thats where i put the jack stands.

jacking is there purpose, they are rounded off to fit the jack, if you look at it it is also rounded somewhat....
