Got explorer spring ???

I just picked up a 99 explorer parts truck for $350.00. Im planning on robbing the axle, bucket seats, console, over head console, dash bezel and whatever else may be compatable. My question is... If I take the explorer axle out is it possible to mount it in my ranger as is with explorer springs (remaining spring under?) If so where will this leave the *** end of my truck. I currently have a 99 4x4 with factory 2" block and chevy shackles. i want to retain my ride hieght in the rear. I know the explorer leafs are longer. im also aware I can simply weld on new perches on the top of the axle. I was thinking the ride may be tighter if it remains under. Will explorer axle with explorer springs (left under) get me in the ball park of my current hieght? If I add explorer lift shackles would that help? I dont have access to a welder or a shop quite yet and if this would work it would be simple. So, will this work? What are the pro's and con's? Also anyone know if the explorer front bumper is compatable with a ranger? Both 99's.
