Got new shocks...are they the wrong ones??
wassup guys...well it looks like 4wp screwed up once again. they sent me some es9000 shocks and they look like the correct lenght and all but theres one problem...the bottom is eye mount. the way the shocks are on my truck the top is stud mount and the bottom looks like an eye mount, but with a metal piece going thru the eye to allow the shock to mount on the studs on the underside of the LCA. ok, by looking at both shocks it looks like i can maybe take the stock piece that goes thru the stock eye(at the bottom of the shock) and install them in the new shocks. would that work? i know the best thing is to try it and see but i dont want to damage neither my new or stock shocks(in case it dont work i have to DD my truck). anyone ever had to do that with new shocks?
i did call 4wheel parts and tried to explain them what the problem was...but it seems like everyone i talked to didnt know jack $hit about vehicles. hell one guy didnt know the diff between stud mount and eye mount...and he was a salesman.
did they send me 4wd ranger shocks? or can they be made to work
should i just send em back or is this somethin that everyone has to do?
thanks guys
