I have lowered my 02 extended cab rwd ranger 3/3. The rear is a flip kit with a lift shackle. I am considering removing a leaf from the rear to soften it up a bit and adding a hellwig helper spring as I do haul motorcycles once or twice a month in the bed. The helwig helper springs are marketed as variable rate springs that do not affect ride when unloaded. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, would they work ok with a flip kit? Looking at the installation, it doesn't seem like it would make a difference between axle under or over the springs.
