I'm looking to get a suspension lift and put on 31" tires.
Every shop i go to is telling me that the tires will rub and that i will need to get a 5" lift for tires that big.

Does anyone have a 3.5 sl with 31's? And how good is the clearance?

yeah....umm....we need some info about your truck. How can we help with no info about your truck and no signature?

 

Its pretty much a stock 98 xlt 4.0 v6

 

I ran 31's stock for a while, it barely rubbed, then I lifted it 2", with 2" of lift it never rubbed, I've got 5" of lift now and 31's look a little small to tell you the truth.

Anyway, 3.5" with 31's should look pretty good, it also shouldn't rub at all.

 

i have 3 inch with 31's same gen and they dont rub and they look a little small i will be going to 33's when these kick the bucket i rocked my 31's stock for a while a little rub in the front and back it caught the inner fender...

 

I have 31's on my ranger with a leveling coils and they dont rub at all and they barely rubbed without the leveling kit. As long as your trucks a 4x4 the 3.5" lift should be able to fit 33's

 

I ran 31s stock on my 2wd for a while and they never rubbed for me. I put my 3 inch BL on and really did some good stuff to is and they never rubbed.
