if i grab the tie rod end head with my hand should i be able to move it. toward the rear and front of the truck. also the truck is fully on its own weight on the ground.

 

You should be able to pivot the rod end a little. There is a steel ball inside of the end where it connects to the spindle. But it should be tight, no wiggle at all. If it has any play at all it is time for new ones.

It should take some force. They are supposed to be nice and tight. Its the back and forth, or in and out play you need to worry about, sounds like yours are probably good.
Do you have any vibration in the steering wheel while driving? That's usually the first place you feel it when they do start to go bad.

 

yup around 70 it comes in

 

Mine does also but replaced outter tie rod ends and balanced tires but even after that when load is in bed I notice it more and at 65 mph.
