Help! Which end of coil spring is the top?

Hello all,

I'm in the middle of swapping out my upper and lower control arms, and I'm wondering which end of the coil springs are the top and the bottom. Or, maybe it doesn't matter?

The springs were going a different direction on each side of the vehicle, so I couldn't just put them back the way that I found them.

In case somebody else asks this question in the future, the pinched end of the coil is the top. And, if you put them in wrong, your wheels will be out of alignment.
