Icon5 99 XLT 4X4 Upper ball joints.

I've scoured some of the threads and haven't seen this discussion yet, maybe I missed it...

Getting ready to overhaul the front end on my Ranger, getting ready to change everything wearable (upper/lower ball joints, sway bar links/bushings, tie rods/ends). I notice I have a one piece upper control arm/ball joint on the left and a 2 piece on the right. What are the advantages/disadvantages of keeping the 2-piece on the right? Or should I replace with a one piece?
Recommendations?

That's just the way it was setup. They are all like that. My 98 has that. Don't think you can change it.
