well not too long.....you need a large socket/wrench, and a pitman arm puller or you wont get it off

Well I can do a pitman arm in like 10-15 minutes, however I have tools in my tool box at the shop with a nice hoist.

what are you putting in the stock pitman arm's place?

Big04Ranger May 9, 2007 06:37 PM

anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hrs depending on the tools you have and how stubborn it wants to be

Biz May 9, 2007 06:51 PM

im puting a drop down pitman arm to make up for the lift

Biz May 9, 2007 07:40 PM

wow what a fukin pain in the ass..i think i was given the wrong puller..it seems like it dosnt fit around the bolt =/..it budged like 1/4 down but god damn thing wont move anymore.

are you using it correctly? take off the nut on the steering box stud, slide the two prongs onto the top side of the arm, thread bolt up the puller until its tight against the bottom of the stud, then use a breaker bar to take loose.
