someone has a vagina for a right arm! hahaha jk! get some steel piping and use it as a torque bar.. it may take like 3 feet of piping but just to get enough leverage.

Cut the bolt with a sawzall and and use an air chisel to punch the rest out. Thats what I had to do when I replaced mine. But on mine, I had to end up cutting 3 out of 6 bolts with the sawzall. If you do end up cutting it off, I would suggest using a carbide blade otherwise you'll go through a bunch of regular ones.

I ended up cutting the bolts out of the SAS donor I had. It was just easier than use force to turn it.

i dont think there is enough room between the gas tank and the shackle to cut the head off and punch it out if i cant get it to move thats what happening this morning.

My shackle bolt was stuck last weekend when I did my lift. It was siezed into the sleeze of the bushing.

I brought the truck into a heavy rig garage, and the dude came out with a 3 foot long air hammer to beat it out. Took him 15 minutes with it, it looked like the truck was going to rattle apart.

He did what I would never have been able to do, so I was happy to pay the $80 labour for him to change that shackle. I figured I put in 6 hours on one bolt with no success, so I sucked it up and just paid for it to be over.

i welded on the driver frame rail right next to the spring hanger

caught some plastic conduit on fire inside the frame rail at the same time... luckily i had a fire extinguisher ready ha

but seriously, a little butane torch on the bolt isn't gonna do **** to the gas tank, just make sure your well ventilated incase there are any fumes coming out.
