I finally did it!! BL
So my Lesbian friend and I installed my BL today!! It only took us 7 hours with regular hand tools! Minus the bumper brackets...I dont really understand the written directions for the front mounts. Overall Im very happy, a little muscle and a female companion with small hands really helped! :sly:
Ill post pix up when I get my bumpers on. Thanks everyone for all their help on this forum. |
Sounds like it wasnt to difficult. Glad you got it done. Have you gotten your new meats for it yet?
|
Congrats! I may give myself a inch or two this summer.. im more interested in giving myself a full 4" Super Lift... enough to give it some oomph and help clear some tires =)

Does anyone have good pictures of how to do the bumpers, front and rear? the written directions are hard to understand for me. Im not sure where to drill or cut, thought I wouldnt have to sonce I dont have fog lights?!
|
you have the same truck as i do the back bumber was really easy i didnt need to do any drilling and the front mounts should just bolt right in if you dont need the clearence for the fog lights i had to cut the frame to make it so my fogs would fit

That lift isn't goin to cut the cheese. It's for a 82-97 (TTB)ranger. He's got a 2000(IFS). You could do aals or shackles for like 40 bux each but that is only for the rear. looks like you already found how to jimmy the T-bars. Ur next step is Superlift or RCD.
I would LOVE to get a superlift!! $$$$$$$$ |

OK I got the front bumper on today with no issues!!
The directions from PA do say to mock up the rear bumper with the extensions and mark the frame to drill a 1/2" hole. Anyone know what Im talking about? Im going to try and get pictures for you all tomorrow, too dark now! Thanks for the interest. |
