Front Roush swaybar

Hey guys, I got a set of Roush Sway bars for my 2004 4x4 4.0 Ranger, i've read in a few places that the stock 4x4 front bar and the roush front sway bar are the same. (No reason to go through the hassle on the front if im putting on the same thing i'm taking off). I have no rear bar now, so I know that one will be going on. Is the Roush front bar the same as what i've got now? Thanks.

Ok, thanks guys. Sounds like it will be a pretty easy install. Anybody have any tips for me on installing the rear bar?

The passenger side axle clamp is made to straddle the junction of the diff housing and the axle tube. It needs to be there to have the bar in the correct position and clear the PS shock. Since the diff is not centered, the clamp is about 2 inches away from the diff housing on the driver side.

Installing the nut for the driver side link bar is a bit of a pain because of the tight clearance between the fuel tank and the frame rail.

Here's a post with some pics that may help:

PS:

The right side clamp goes right up against the differential housing casting on mine while the left side is about 2" from the housing.

The front mounts should line up with prepunched holes in the frame. The nut on the inside of the frame on the fuel tank side is a bit hard to reach.

Front view of PS clamp. Notice that the bolts fit right up against the housing flange and the clamp actually straddles both the axle tube and the diff housing:

Hey I guess the big question is how does it perform?

Does the Roush rear sway bar perform good enough or does one need to go with a 7/8" hellwig?

And BTW, is my 4x2 front bar the same as the front Roush?
