i have a question about abs

i have a 99 ranger and cant find out what the tooth count is for the front speed sensors are was thinking of swapping over to solid axle but still want my abs to work i have checked alldata and i couldnt find it i know its a seaded bearing and i dont have a spare to rip apart to count them and dont have acc to a oscilloscope to use so i can cont then electricly on the screen by turning it

I don't know about the ABS, but I don't know why you would want it if you are considering a solid axle swap. I hate ABS, especially off road. If I were building something to use off road the ABS stuff would go in the trash.

im trying to keep it because im not the only person that drive my truck i let my wife and family drive it all the time and i dont want that on the back of my mind that it dosnt work i know when off road its gets in the way more than it help but i would still like to keep it in the long run if i cant find it i will do a just a suspention lift so i can keep it but would rather take the time and do a sas swap if i can

not to mention, btw, that depending on where you are, disabling your ABS is actually illegal, and can end your vehicle up with being condemned, and impounded

i hear ya about abs offroad, but a lot of people like to continue using their vehicles while on the road

i have to agree with the state inspection thing
i used to work at a chryl dealer and by mass law u can pass with a abs light on but if on a visual inspect if anything is found broke and/or missing it can and should be failed now i dont live in mass i live in ri but i dont want to take that chance eather when i go to get my next sticker
