if you go to car-parts.com and look for the rear leaf springs for a given year, it will show you the options. for my '98 year, there were K, C, and 3 with 3 being the heaviest/stiffest. I have K packs. :( For some reason, they started doubling the digits in the newer vehicles...maybe showing what each corner is rated at??

If you aren't happy with your 3's...send them my way!!

Yes, you have 3-code coils up front and 3-code leafpacks in the rear. Going by the Gross Axle Weight Ratings of 2100 and 2550, these should be among the lightest springs available, both front and rear. That makes sense because you have the lightest engine and cab and 2WD.

I don't have detailed specs for 2008MY. For comparison, the 2003 specs list these:

Lightest coils (?) => 2100 GAWR
Lightest t-bars (F-code)=> 2510 GAWR
Lightest leafpacks (3-code) => 2550 GAWR

Heaviest coils (?) => 2600 GAWR
Heaviest t-bars (1-code)=> 2850 GAWR
Heaviest leafpacks (C-code) => 2750 GAWR

That doesn't quite make sense. I have BK on my door. B torsion bars and K spring packs.

I'm rated for 50 extra pounds, but I've got the K springs. My pack has 2 leaves plus overload.

Where'd you get that info rwenzing?? It'd be nice to have it for my year.

2003 Ford dealer sales manual and 2003 Ford factory shop manual. For 2003, axles with K leaf packs are rated at 2600 GAWR. I don't have those books for 1998.

he was listing the lightest and the heavyest on the leafspings im guessing from what rwenzing posted

C=2750
K=2650
3=2550

so your can handle 100 pounds more than the 3's and 100 pounds less than the C's

i tracked down a set of C's for my truck off of a wrecked 09 for $100 im really tempted to get them i wounder if there would be any benifit to going to a stiffer coilspring for the front on my truck? i know it would make it ride more harshly but would it help with body roll?
