I need inexpensive rear lift options

Ok I need to get at least 4 inches of lift on the rear of my '96 ranger. What options do I have that will be under $200. I already have 2.5 inch lift blocks in the rear.

chevy leaf springs.
88 - 98 half ton

k or c 1500.

will add 2-3 inches of lift. all you have to do is move the front hangers forward.

im pretty sure this will work on a 96, but someone would have to verify.

then get some belltech chevy drop shackles (52 from summit). if you get the springs off a used truck you should beable to keep it under 150.

Zach,

Do you have any pics of how the rear is lifted on your truck?

Zach,

Those are perfect.

Are those super lift shackles that you are using or something else?

those are Beltech chevy lowering shackles. on a ranger they lift the truck 1-2 inches and change the pinion angle to perfect.

i think it is part numerber BEL-6400 on summit. and the springs are EXP-13211 on summit.

but that is just a guess, i need to verify that. its been a few days. lol

The 63" Chevy spring swap has been done successfully on many years of Rangers. Zach and I have it on our 2003's. Here's a link to the same conversion on a 93 Ranger.

The Chevy springs are longer, so you must relocate the forward spring hanger 6" and redrill the frame. The earlier trucks have a differently shaped hanger bracket but the procedure is similar.
