pics? i never had this issue before.

the top bolt you do not need to hold the nut as it has a retaining clip on it.

the bottom bolt is just a bolt and a nut, i think 21mm.

that spring should have some twist in it try and pull the spring further away from the hitch.

otherwise take the hitch off.

lower the axle down as far as possible if the springs are still bolted to it. that should help.

Once you get the stock shackles off then you can jack the back of the truck up some more and the springs will stay where they are. You may have to pull down on the spring some but it can be done without removing the bumper. Ask me how I know.

quick question...sound stupid but seen people do it...where is your jack stands at? are they on the frame? jack the truck way up and make sure both sides of the shackels are off and it should drop down farther then you want it..and take the jack and the rearend where you want it..

you can always put some cribbing under the truck and usa a jack to raise the vehicle and let the springs/axle hang.

there is no shackle in the front. it should just mount onto the hanger.

hehe you think you have it hard try putting upper and lower arms on and coils and in the back dealing with getting the bolts out that connect to the shackle that rusted to the rubber after dealing with 7 years of salty ohio winters...

truck is identical to mine..

3 yrs ago on 235/75/15 God I hated it that high
