Installing AAL right now, questions

Is there a spec I need to tighten my tie bolt to? This is the bolt that goes through the center of all the leaf springs. I tightened the **** out of it, just wondering if there is anything wrong with tightening it too much.

Also, does it matter if I tighten the u bolts with the axle lowered? Does the geometry get scewed up, or do I need to jack up the axle and then tighten them? Thanks!

Center bolt just needs to be sinched(cinched?). Not overly tight, just tight. As long as you used c-clamps to hold the leafs together, you're good to go.

Axle should be in it's resting place when you tighen the U-bolts.

Shorty. She's all put together. I spent entirely too much time in the garage over the last week. Pics tomorrow after I get it aligned.
