You can get 2-2.5" out of the t-bars depending on how much you crank them. Don't go with blocks get Add-A-Leafs of shackles.

you should tell him why he shouldnt get blocks. concidering one is much more expensive than the other. i have blocks and have no problem. but there only 1 inch blocks and i use them to level my back end with the 6" front i put on. add a leafs would be better in everyway. but blocks are cheaper and unless you bomb the living crap out of your truck. and you torque down the bolts to 80 or so lbs. and once again after about 3-5 days of driving. because the new u-bolts will stretch and conform to the shape of the axle. also if your going to LIFT anything make sure you get proper shocks to accomodate and take full advantage of the lifts.

You currently have 2" blocks because your truck is an Edge. you really don't want to go with block bigger than 3". They tend to break.
