Are any of you guys familiar with the traction bars from summit...they come to around 101 including shipping. They are made for rangers up to 2002?
I am considering ordering them over the 60 dollar james duff.

I've heard good stuff about Lakewood.....are you running an axle-over or axle-under setup?

JD bars bend and warp, no good IMO.

I've even heard good stuff about the universal ones at Auto Zone...they're like $30. All you need is something to reinforce the leaf spring....

I believe they are axle under setups. Only reason I looked at the more expensive ones is that they are supposedly stronger and more efficient. Good point though that I could go universal...erally not sure...$30 universal or $100 for something that is made for the vehicle...hmmm...

It's probably a flexing-related issue.....

are they def undermount? the size of the lift blocks for the 4x4s may be an issue if they are under leaf, since our leaves are over the axle, it would be a trick and a half to get under leaf trac bars, thats probably why they are more expensive
