Leaf spring replacement
^^YUp....I'll add that if it appears to be shaped like an " S ", they need replacing.
Spring rates can be found on your driverside door sticker, under the SPR. 1st digit(or 1st and 2nd) will be front springs, 2nd(or 3rd and 4th). Some codes are 4 digit, some are 2. 11KK BBCC 1K BC...like that. That's the ford letter/number spring rating system...idk how to find the actual numerical weight rating.

Thanks..looks like I need new leafs then. LOL
Would that be causing a ruff ride? If fells like the back half is jumping in the air everytime I go over bumps. And i just replaced the shocks so I dont think it would be that.

Your T-bars are B bars. Your leafs are K leafs. You've got midgrade bars and midgrade leafs(or is it leaves?). You can bump the rear leaf up to a C leaf which is standard on trucks with the Class 3 tow package.
Anything Ranger will do. Find some lower mile ones. You can also run Explorer leafs too to get you approx 2" or so of lift.

Thanks shane, I think I owe u beer for all the help. lol
Yeah I think im going to get the AAL and shackles like we talked a while back and dich the blocks.
ya when they look like mine they need to be replaced!!! haha, one side of mine are straight plus a broken leaf in the spring and the other is fine.. a guy i know runs the local school autobody shop and he has a 93-94 ranger thats lifted, not quite as big as beard's but i'd say about 3/4 of his. and he's running chevy springs in it, you can run just about anything as long as its similar to the ones u got now. measure them, exploder leaves will work too.
what happens if you dont ditch the block? would it just lift it that much?
Any idea what the spring rate of the Expo leafs compare to the Ranger leafs? These sound perfect for rear flip, only 3-4" of drop vs. the 5-6" with Ranger "leafs/leaves" . . .
area code is 812
I need new torsion bars too. I might just say screw it and upgrade everything all at once.
