where the heck are the 4x4 edges?!
I know the noob thing is to post a question for the zillionth time but i will honestly say ive searched this f*ckin forum for the best lift for my 01 4x4 ranger edge and it seems like all the edges i find are 2wd and all the 4x4s arent edges and i know that matters when buying a lift. so the question still remains for me whats the best suspension lift for my 01 ranger edge 4wd? thanks and again sorry for the noob post.

alright that is what i thought at first but then it seemed some of the threads i read said some lifts dont fit edge's and some are only for 2wd's so i just wanted to get a defenite answer before i go and drop somewhere north of 1000$ on a lift that i wouldnt be able to put on my truck.
great forum. very useful stuff. thanks again.

4" superlift or 5" RCD. fyi..i vote superlift....you can be higher than an rcd....[/QUOTE]
im not looking to need my foglights for the clouds i just wanted some off road capabilities so wouldnt the RCD be better because i comes with the good shocks? (even though my wallet and i really rooting for the superlift to be better)

^^^SHOCKS do not sag.....it's the factory RCD COILS that sag. And you'll want to reinforce one of the differential drop brackets(the triangle sorta one). That drop bracket is already re-inforced in the Superlift kit.
The superlift kit comes with 'okay' shocks. I say 'okay' because they are just that....they get the job done. I have them on the front of the truck. The RCD comes with front Bilstein Coil-overs with RCD 600lb(i think) coils, and rear Bilstein 5100 shocks. I have the 5100's in the rear of my superlifted truck.
I've got an inch more of cranking the bars if needed...i'd be taller in the front than an rcd truck on 750lb coils cranked all the way up. Right now, i'm only 1/2" shorter than an rcd truck on 750lb coils cranked all the way.

so basically i have to spend the money to spend more money lol. im not going to be wheelin daily or maybe not even weekly because that screamin yellow paint looks too good so my next question would be if im not flexing out the suspension frequently and only when i think the old girl deserves a little beating are the 600lb springs going to sag as quickly as ive seen people say in other threads?

^^no....
It was asked about RCD saggyness.
i'm sorry.....this may be turning into it...but you know what? these are VERY knowable thing that must be known about the rcd. no i'm not a rcd hater of any kind, just spreading the word about it's downfalls. hell if i didn't get such a bangin' deal on my superlift, i would have an rcd under mine. sure its a coil-over conversion kit and supposed to be a taller kit(yeah right).....YES coils sag greatly...the reason so many upgrade to 750's.....and yes if you've got an 03 up truck like Seed60, you must downgrade your brakes....and yes you really should reinforce that drop bracket as it's possible to crack. on top of all that, it's still a more expensive kit that you must improve beyond what they sell you in that $2300 box.
dont' get me wrong...i dont want this to be a rcd vs. superlift thread again.
