trying to lift my truck

ok i have a 97 ford ranger 4x4 4.0 v6 5 speed and i want to lift it ive heard of people useing f150 springs to do so is this cheaper and will it help with hauling more wieght how much lift can i look forward to and what about ride quality will the springs off a 4x4 f150 and a 2x4 would really apprecaite some help with this

The ride is normally worse with f150 springs because of the spring rates. F150 weighs more so they need to be stronger. Rangers are lighter and don't need to be. Yes they can be used but I would buy a ranger lift. There are ton out there for your year.
