Leaf Spring Measurements

Well I've been doing a good amount of homework on my lift kit. Its going to a lot of custom as I'm trying to get a good amount of flex along with a great ride. First thing to get set up is the rear. I read an article in Peterson off road about them using Toyota leaf springs for there truck. Now seeing as how Toyota leaf springs are about half the price for are leaf springs I'm willing to look into it. What I need to find out is measurements on the springs and ranger springs. Eye to eye and to the center pin. Also for those who have these "soft ride" skyjacker springs let me know how the ride is with them. I'm looking for softer than a regular spring because I'm tired of a stiff ride.

^^^Haha Zach you never cease to amaze me. Or amuse me.

Mike I've got my old set of leaf springs in the barn. If you want I can measure them tomorrow. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Toyota leafs won't work without relocating the spring hangers. You should do a search on the chevy 1500 spring swap. It might be something for you as the lift springs are probably cheaper.

I know its a truck but that doesn't mean it has to ride like ****. I expect some kind of roughness to it but I don't want to feel every single bump in the road. I'd like it if you could measure the springs for me. I'd rather not have to change out the hangers but if I have I will unless I find a good set of ranger lift springs for cheap. I'm just looking for an overall improvement not just lift.

ive got the 6" skyjackers in my dd with no blocks. ride better than stock and got 4" of lift. they are pricey but worth the money in my opinion. but then again i only paid $50 for mine from a friend that was linking his truck.

Something that's been brought up in another thread is the ZR2 leaf springs. Those are lifted for a spring-under-axle truck so when you put the axle UNDERNEATH the spring you get more lift. No one's tried it or measured, just a possibility.
