I've always wanted to ask
after that 4 inch body lift thread i really wanted to ask.. i promise you i will never do it but i needed to ask..
Is it even reasonable to do a 6inch body lift.. PA kit x2. other than the obvious fact of need longer bolts for the mounts everything else you can double stack such as the transmission cooler drop and front bumper..
the only problem i see is
1. radiator drop which can be fixed by adding a efan and taking off the factory fan.
2. the rear bumper which.. really you dont NEED one... plus without you can get to your spare tire (not that you should have a spare tire with a 6inch lift)
3. steering.. this is the only problem i see since i dont think the extension would be long enough..
ANYONE with insight? or stupid comments.. all will be fun.

It would look really bad and it would be very dangerous. That would put a lot of lateral strain on the mounting bolts. The biggest problem is any more than 3", you start to run into a lot of other problems with extending things like shift linkages, wiring to the trans, fuel lines, the stated steering, etc. It is very possible, but it looks f'd up and it really doesn't do anything for you, that's way no body ever does it.

alot of hackjob rigs come out of florida(channel welded to the frame to drop the leafs down, 8" blocks on front axles, etc).....but then again, alot of nicely build rigs come from there too...so take it how you want to. lol.
it'll look like a double lifted colorado...where the frame are already showing 6"!

And you do realize that Florida holds the 2nd most members on here right? So you just called a chunk of the forum idiots, why exactly are you a mod again?

"People" read as not everyone, but alot of people from florida. And to prove my point Ive seen alot of our "members" from florida think some sketchy stuff is ok, so my statement holds true.

hell, why not stack 6 1" lifts and call it good?
the strain on the bolts.. and the blocks just wanting to fall over would be my biggest arguemnt..
the body bolts aren't that thick and thats is a TON of area to support.. if you just put it on and NEVER drove it.. then ya sure have fun looking at it but no one should ever drive such a piled together piece of ****

Florida is one of the only states were all the "people" (read as Idiots), Think a 6" body lift would be a good idea, along with 10" blocks and 20" lift leafs.

I bet redranger can pull up pics of members from florida that have done exactly what he speaks of.
One even had a D30 up front on some 38 inch tires..
Hes a Mod because the site owner stated he is. *WE* may not like it or him, but thats just how it is.
