Need help with brakes!!

Hey guys. I need some help. My new slotted brake rotors didn't come with the anti lock brake ring that sits on the back of the rotor. The old one doesn't seem to come off of the old rotor. So my question is. . . .

1. Can you run the rotor without that ring, without it messing something up in the braking system?

2. Is there a way to get the old ring off of the old rotor?

Thx.

yep,, just slowly whack out the wheel studs
just slowly whack the studs out in a clock-wise pattern

do not whack too hard,, or you will bend the abs ring

so with a hammer, just hit the studs? and that will get the abs ring to come off?

yes . the pushing out of the studs
will cause the ring to just pop off

but do it slowly you do not want to mangle the ring

that is how i got mine off
