lift questions
i was just at a shop looking for a 3in lift and the guy told me i would need $700 plus installation plus more money to extend my brake lines. my question is do my brake lines really need to be longer even if im not running off road? he said they did.

what year of truck do u got? and 4X4 or 4X2?

What year is the truck? Is it an Edge? A 3" body lift shouldn't cost you more than a couple hundred. Installation may run about $300-400 depending on the shop. On my truck I didn't extend the brake lines. You'll probably want to run bigger tires too. My Toyo Open Country 33's cost right at $630 installed. Your total cost for the lift (installed) shouldn't run more than $700 or so.

i just got the 3.5 by fabtech and i love it:)

a 3" bl should run you 215 dollars form summit racing but since your a 2wd id look into a spindle lift. check http://www.jusnesmodified.com

you dont need longer brake lines

...just please don't get a body lift - even if you don't offroad, they look ugly. Go for the spindles. The most common spindle package is the Fabtec 3" lift. Its relatively inexpensive and looks great, giving you a little wider stance up front, too. If you do decide to get a body lift, you can install it yourself - I did it myself with practically no prior mechanical knowledge on my old truck. If you're buying for looks and value, do not get a body lift. Go for spindles.

if you want to go to EBay and you can find a spindal lift for your truck for just over $300
