Lift questions/help

Hey guys i am new to the whole lifting a truck thing and i was wondering how can i get a nice decent price lift besides body lift because i dont want that gap in the tailgate and bumper. I was thinking of shocks or coils or something i honestly dont know i just want my truck to sit a couple inches higher thanks guys!

are you 2 or 4wd? that makes a huge difference in price.. if you are 2wd try searching for doetsch spindles or fabtech spindles and if you are 4x4 search for RCD and superlift

Body kits usually come with the brackets to adjust the bumpers if thats your only concern about em

get a superlift........it runs about $2000......then with the 3.0 you are going to want to regear!

The stock 4.10's will still make it a dog with a 33" tire on after the superlift....the 3.0 just dont have the power....if you had the 4.0, then a 4.10 would be great with the 33's....

you also have to remember bill that he has the 3.0.....if he had the 4.0, then it would be good with 33's or 35's....

Like I said.......I have the 3.0 and it isnt bad with 35's. He will be fine with 33's. Now if he gets them on there and decides he wants gears thats perfectly fine, but new gears are not necassary by any means, not mention they're expensive. Its going to end up costing me $200 for the ring and pinion plus master install kit, $250 for the powertrax and a beautiful $500 to have it installed. I have to take it to a reputible shop beacause I dont know anyone with the skill to correctly install a ring and pinion. I drive this truck everyday so I cant have someone do a shi**y job installing my gears.

now my ? is this... is he "required" to enlarge his tires if he does a let say 3" superlift? or can his 16" still kick it if all he does is trail ride? cause im pretty much at the same point as him, except ill never do a body lift, but just bought a new set of 265 16 at's, so dont want to take them off.

I got a 3 in BL with 265/75/16 and it doesn't look bad IMO but I would go any higher without bigger tires. I am going bigger soon. I don't know whats wrong with a BL. It lets you acomplish the goal of bigger tires for more clearence.
