2003 Edge looking for lift off!!

I've been looking around for a while. I've seen the Superlift vs. RCD discussions and plenty other interesting options. But what lift would you choose?

Sitting stock as of now, tearing up mainly mud and hills, some rocks!!!

Just looking for some advice. Thanks!!

I read his conversion thread, waiting on the results and pics.

I do bottom out a lot, being stock and all lol. But I'm not really sure whether or not I like coilover over torsion bars, never ridden in a truck with coilover suspension. I'm mostly a weekend warrior taking to the power lines and Uhwarrie.

From what I understand the Superlift is a great kit but has tbar clearance issues and ds issues. While the RCD kit cleans up those issues but is spongy/sags after a while??

Supposedly, both kits have front driveshaft issues. The RCD has the saggy spring issue about 5k in. Upgrade to 750lb hypercoils front the start imo. I'd choose RCD.

Btw...I have a superlift, by buddy, also a member, has the RCD...and his rides soo much better than mine. even with 750lb coils.

Plus...the RCD crossmember looks alot better....and takes care of the low hanging torsion bar issues.

Isn't there a problem with RCD brackets tearing or something?

Yea....The triangle looking axle drop member is not reinforced in the RCD kit, where the Superlift one is reinforced.

That's why I think I would do the Superlift/RCD hybrid. The last thing I need is crap tearing.

That's what I think I am going to do. I've been reading up on it and it seems like the best route. I found a Superlift for about $1000, will be $1500 or so with the ds. Then I'll probably ride it out until the shocks and stuff break down, then go for the conversion. Who knows???

Seems like a cheaper way then going straight RCD and you can have the best of both worlds.

All you gotta do is add reinforcement to the dif drop bracket....the one that looks like a triangle. (talking about the RCD).

But.....SL is a nice kit. Just that damned crossmembers are fugly! lol. I'm gonna make something to cover that up. Easy install of the SL kit as well.

Alright, I'm going to do this.

Do you guys have an suggestions for new leafs in the back compared to the blocks? I have heard nothing but "bad" things about the blocks compared to new springs and shackles? Any ideas??

Skyjacker makes really good replacement leafs. If you decide to go the other way I have a AAL and shackle I'll sell ya. You'll be level with the stock block, AAL and shackle. Deaver makes really nice leafs also, but I heard they suck if you ever put weight in your bed or tow or anything.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I've been researching like hell and haven't really found the "best" answer/option. I just want to do this thing right the first time.
