Liftin' Dilemma

Im looking into lifting my truck soon and i was just wondering which way to do it. As of now i do not want to spend too much money but here are a few options i found online.

1. For the front, either purchase 2" spacers which you put under front coil springs, purchase new 3" torsion keys, or simply, cranking the torsion bars.

2. For the rear, purchase a set of GM adjustable lowering shackles or getting an Add-a-Leaf kit.

I found products to do this on this site, other than cranking the t-bars or lowering shackles.

some of them say up to a 97 ranger and i have a 99 3.0L off road package. Will it still work?

Any opinions would he helpful.
Thanks

And once done, what type shocks should i get for the rear?

You have torsion bars, you can't run a coil spacer. DO NOT run torsion keys, just crank your bars. I would run a shackle in the rear over a AAL, the ride will be better.

Look into Superlift kits, their not that expensive and you can do it at home if you have the tools. RCD makes a kit as well but they may be a little more pricey. A 3" body lift from Performance Accessories is a good option, they are somewhat cheap and can be done at home on a weekend.

I bought those torsion key lift things, just to see if they'd work. All they do is crank your torsion bars. That, and I couldn't get them on, they were to far indexed and my torsion would NOT go that far, we tried really, really hard. Big waste of money.

Pretty much nothing for the 93-97 will work for the 98-00.

My BL was like $170+ and it looks great, and I cranked my t-bars about an inch. If you only want 1-2" crank the t-bars, and go with shackles in the rear. It will look ok with stock tires and will fit the 265/75r16s, or 32x11.50r15s.

No body really makes shocks for 1-2" of lift, I called a few places and most said just run with the stock ones or stock size, and they'll work fine. I don't know if that's true, but it's the story I got.
