i like the tieing in a spair tire mount great idea!
No, I didn't run out of tubing. What you see there is what I originally had as the top rail of my sliders, so I just cut and shortened it.

As for the spare, I really didn't 'tie in' any type of mount for it. I just wanted to make sure I could fit (and remove) the tire with the cross support in place. Chances are I'll just rachet strap it in via that cross tube and the stock bed tie-downs.

I like it Kevin. Only thing I question is those mounts to the bed ???? what are you doing underneath there?

I like the outboard shocks. Stability and travel in one package.

I would tie the bed mounts somehow into the frame, just for ****s and giggles.

Update.

Got the whole kit 'n kaboodle painted and installed, with shocks.

Pics (don't mind the clutter in the bed )..

^ You can see how the hoops aren't 'just' bolted to the bed. I have the bed sandwiched between two 3/16" plates.

The ride is greatly improved; I didn't even realize the improved ride quality until I was a couple miles onto the freeway and thought, "whoa..". Haha

That looks good. I like the ride and added stability of outboard shocks. Too many people argue against them thought...
