3" spindles and 2" lift blocks or helper springs for the rear.

I have a 99 xlt 2wd and i have 3 inch spindels and a 3 inch body lift. There is 11 inches of clearence from the top of tire and bottom lip of fender. But you could fit 33's with 3 inch spindels. im adding coils and shocks for MORE clearence. O and i have BFG all terranins also. 33x10.50's.. if i get your email i can send you a bunch of pcs so you can see the difference between 3 inches up front, 6 inches up front, and 3 inches in the back...

I hear you can fit 31's on stock suspension with a little rub but thats pushing it, Shouldnt a 3 inch bodylift clear it for him? Im not to sure I went the opposite way..

I installed a 3" body lift for a guy with a 2wd 00 Ranger and we fit 33x12.50's with a little bit of trimming to the front bumper valance, that was it. Keep in mind that he didn't flex it out and that it was a pavement pounder. Also, I had friend who ran 31's on a totally stock 01 2wd Ranger, and he didn't seem to have any issues.

Go with the fabtech 5.5 lift, jusnesmodified.com has it for 950.00 that's the lowest price ive seen yet and they have free shipping. Plus you'll probably be able to go with 35 instead.

Isn't the fabtech lift prerunner? So that is more tuned to wheel travel then clearance?

Pretty much rangerchuck, you should go with 33s and a spindle lift and body lift. Then your truck will look really nice that way. When you get 33s you should get 4.10 gearing in your back axle and if possible a locker. That will give you much more traction and ease on your tranny(plus speed).

body lift is 3 inches, spindle is 3.5 i believe. Will allow you to fit up to 38s(with a lil cutting on 38s i believe.)

Jus for example, sweet 2wd ranger lifted...

Aaron
he has a 2wd xlt, so the spindle is only a 3inch lift, where an 2wd edge has a 3.5 lift spindle

Dont forget a 2wd XLT sits a few inches lower than a stock 2wd Edge.

The 5.5" Febtech is a prerunner lift, I can show you a pic of a guy running just 31's. The lift isn't big at all.

Honestly, You'd be better off gettting the camburg 6.0 due to the fact not only is it the same price, but camburg has proven their kit by racing on it. You can easily fit 33's on the truck as seen on trents truck and if you decide to upgrade to the dual shock setup you will get the best ride possible.

you would be good with a fabtech 5.5 and a body lift as well. I dont like how camburg adds the 2.5 inch torision bar crank to there overall hight gained and does camburg even make a kit for non torsion bar suspensions?

to make it simple.

for 33's i would suggest the fabtech 5.5" kit or if you want a nice kit go camburg. if you want 35's then add a BL to that(though i would highly suggest just going with the 5.5 and no BL)
