lowering question

I am installing a front away bar on the 88 and i need to remove the front coils to do so, so i want to replace them...i dont want to gain any height from where it currently sits so..

do i go with stock coils? i would like a firmer spring rate but i dont want the height
or...
do i go with 3.0 or 4.0 splash coils? which are 1" lower than factory but i can gain the stiffness i want
or...
do i use the belltech 2" drop coils summit has?

the summit coils say from 1989-1997 but im not sure why they wouldnt work on my 88. also will splash coils work on it?

Justin, can't you just put the bar on and put the coils back in?

finding splash springs for a 4.0 sounds like what you really want to do, but the easiest would be to pick up drop springs which will also have more spring rate then stock, and yes your 88 will be fine with coils for 89-97

yeah the only thing i worry about is either
a. the 4cyl coils are sagged more than that and the splash coils will actually raise it up
b. the splash coils from a v6 will have a high enough spring rate to lift it more
