More suspension forum spamming from me...RCD lifted folks...

RCD guys......

cranking the coilovers... I'm only looking to go about 1 inch. Rear ride height is at 40.5 inches, front is at 38.5 inches; but that 2 inches difference looks huge. I had google searched about adjusting coilovers before lifting and found a site saying 1/2 inch adjust = about 1 inch in height. Any of you RCD guys know otherwise or do I get to be the guinea pig?

Generally that's the case with suspensions, albeit the washer mod for TTB/TIB rangers (Pre 1998) or with coilovers for newer IFS. Try cranking an 1", and see how it goes to get 2". Stand back, look at it, and adjust as you see fit. Worst that will happen is that you have to readjust again...

...you're not the guinea pig...

it al depends on how the coilover is set up. on my car, its almost 1:1

on the RCD 2:1 is pretty close. if you want an inch try 1/2" at the coilover and see what you get. should be close.

crank with truck on the ground or weight off tires? When I did the t-bars I jacked the truck up to relieve the weight off the front end.

yea i jackedthe truck up off the ground and put some jackstands under it and cranked away. i got about 1.5"luft because when i first put the lift on we undid the cols all the way and the ride was still high. but now it is perfectly level and that is with the stock block back in.
