My coilover swap has begun!!!!
The 2.0x6.5 shock from Fox:
Shock Travel: 6.50"
Extended Length: 19.35"
Collasped Length: 12.85"
Shaft size is: 5/8"
Fox Part #: 980-99-001A
With 12" coils...
This is the specs to my coil/shock setup... Now what shocks are you running now on your truck? Can anyone help me out here. My math is a little off when it comes to dropping a truck.

i have the stock shocks to too sure on the travel and i dont know what my springs are beside they are 2in drop springs
You have coil springs and the OP had torsion bars. That means that almost everything in the front suspension setup is different, including the frame itself. While it should be possible to adapt coilovers to your truck, the specs and part numbers in this thread do not apply.
NO.
TTB's are already set up for coil springs...so no added bracing is needed. The RCD brackets add support to the shock towers as they will soon been used to hold the truck up. The bottom brackets bolt to the lower control arm, something that TTB's do not have either.

Okay i wanna know about the two bars you welded to the top of the shock tower.. are those enough to support the weight of the truck?
Where did those bars come from as in where were they supplied from?
Another is what is a recommended welder to use??
How long did this take and what was your final costs on this?

If you look in the thread you'll see that he got the brackets and gussets from RCD. Actually read this entire thread before you move on to attempt the swap. If you don't know what welder to use you have a LOT more to learn before you try to mod your suspension in this degree.

Are there any downs to this mod??
And after doing this i can just go buy the drop brackets for my truck from superlift right? instead of getting the whole kit..
This way i can lift the front and leave the rear so my nose sticks up hehe..
any ideas?

If you don't already have a lift on your truck it would probably be more economical to just buy the rcd to begin with, rather then buy the superlift and then tack on a lot rcd parts and new coilovers.
Trent don't forget you'll need coilovers that are much shorter since spindles won't change the geometry of the upper and lower arms. Theroretically you could do the coil over swap now and adding lift spindles later would have no ill effect.

You cant do this if you don't already have all the drop bracketry.
I know, I'm just saving up to do it all at once, coilover swap in the front then Expo axle in the rear with skyjacker leafs.
