Icon5 Need help!

hey guys finally doing my coil over conversion. my concern is taking the torsion bars off... i dont own a torsion key puller. so how can i get the bars off without killing myself??? thanks!

I've heard of people using a c-clamp to do it. Just take the flat piece off so it leaves the ball end. Now I've never personally done this so I can't go too into detail but Toreador4x4 will be.

I used a bottle jack to take the load off them and then just ubolted everything.

did you unblot the cover then place the jack there? hopefully i can do this lol. coils are mounted just need to get the bars off...

i got everything on... how did u guys crannk the coils??? im having a hell of a time with the spanner wrenchs right now my truck has MAD rake... did u guys tighten them up be4 installing them?

How did you put them put them on the truck? did you already have them set and tightened or did u have to adjust them once u got them on the truck?

I haven't adjusted mine any, they were set perfect from ORW.

Took them out of the box and put them on. done

oh i didnt get the group buy ones... do you kno when lenght coils were put on there?

didn't get that last question.

I think you meant to say what length coils, if that is it then I'm not sure off the top of my head

Mine are a 12" coils. I cranked them while on the truck.

offroadranger, where did ya buy the kit to do that? I need to get the custom bracketry and coilover my truck...

I know you already have the t-bars off, but for anyone else reading this later on.... all you have to do is lift the front end high enough, disconnect the upper c/a, shock & cv axle and the lower c/a will drop down far enough where you can remove the keys by hand. Worked fine when I took mine out to put the Superlift on.
