Need Help! Dont know what Susp. Lift to get
Hey guys! New guy here! I was looking to lift my truck, currently i have a 2wd, 01 Ford Edge Ranger. I was checking out RCD, but they dont offer anything for a "EDGE" ranger. I know Spindles would work, i was wondering if anyone knew any other lift kits that are avaiable for my truck, since the edge trucks are t bars in front, im not sure what else i can get besides spindles... Any help would be great thanks

Spindles are one of your only choices. You could also go with a body lift. They are a couple of companies like Camburg that make long travel kits for your truck, but they are high dollar kits made for the desert trucks. It really depends on what you will use your truck for.

spindles thats about it...

I was lookin at the Entry Level and Performance 6.0, i think the only difference is dual spidles? I wonder what they do for the rear end? Blocks? I really dont want to block the back, any suggestions? |
The camburg kits dont come with a rear lift, you have to purchase that separately. They don't have dual spindles either. They are just built very well so they can withstand abuse. Like Redneck said spindles are about your only choice if you don't wanna dish out the cash for Camburg.

spindles are about all that is offered specifically for 2wd EDGE models AFAIK.
you could *theoretically* get a trailmaster kit for a 4wd. it is a drop bracket kit that reuses the stock spindle, so you dont hafta worry about the fact that yours is 2wd. it uses balljoint extensions however, and i wouldnt recommend them for serious offroad use. |
i guess spindles are the only lift kit for my truck, whats a good gear ratio to get them changed to?

I have an 02 4x2 on 35" tires with a 3.0 and an automatic and it's a winning combination as far as I'm concerned. |

well i think i want to save up for the Entry Level 6.0 camburg lift kit, and i want a prerunner look, but not exaggerated. So how big of a lift do you think would be good on the back after that kit for the front? any one have pics w/ the Entry Level 6.0 on their truck?
