New axle pivot drop bracket doesnt line up

I'm in the process of putting in a new tuff country 4" suspension lift, and have run into a little issue I was curious about.

I got the rivets out of the old passender axle pivot drop bracket, but when I try to fit the new one in there, a lip on the frame keeps it from sitting flush and flat. I'm going to have to grind it back at parts or cut it with a grinder. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I would have thought they would mention that it may be necessary in the instructions at least. The driver side didn't like up well either but I got that on there. Any ideas about how to go about getting it to fit would be great.

A pic would be very helpful! When I still had the TTB on my truck the Skyjacker class II brackets I had lined up perfectly.

When we we put the skyjacker kit on Wink's Bronco everything lined up pretty good. We had to enlarge a hole or 2 so it was perfect but nothing too bad.

yea, unfortuantley you're gonna have to make them fit right, thats ONE of the issues with the tuff country lift. unfortunately when it comes to TTB lifts you get what you pay for. the Tuff country is about the lowest you can go. If you cant figure out what to try on your own, get some pics up and hopefully we can give you some suggestions.

I didn't know tuff country would be so much more difficult to fit on. Last night I was able to take a grinder and cut back on a lip that stuck out so I could get the axle pivot gusst bracket on. I'm still going to have to stack a few washers to get it to sit een and have full support, but I think it will work well still. I'm still going to try and take some pictures next time I'm over there.

I did have to "make it fit". A little grinding here and there, and pulling some things in tight with the bolts. But its on and done now. I'll post pictures once I get the new tires on it.
