ok how does this sound

33x12.5x15 on 15x8

tbar crank in front

chevy drop shackels + AAL (maybe a 2" block also) in the rear.

I dont mind if the back end is a little higher as i play on putting a cap on later on this year so it will add some weight

if the 33's wont work i am ok with 32x11.5x15

will this setup work ok? opinions and suggestions

Redneckstone 02-04-2008 08:09 PM

go 32's and just level it out with some 15x8... unless you like mad rubbing

04blackedge 02-04-2008 08:12 PM

Go with 32s and only get the shackles and AAL if you run a super heavy cap. IMO it just looks dumb to run them without something weighing the bed down. The 33s will rub like a mofo up front, you can run 10.5 width and be fine, but 12.5 will make you have to trim a lot.

gatorblue92 02-04-2008 08:12 PM

you can fit 32's without lifting the rear

32's are the way to go.

this is the cap i am gonna get

and from what i have read they dropped the '08s 1" so I might need something in the back

Fx4wannabe01 02-04-2008 10:47 PM

uh....don't think they dropped them. That'd be a stupid thing to spend extra dough on for it's last year. lol.

32's bro!

Get 32's or if you have your heart set on the 33's get a BL.

"IIRC, the 2008 sits a bit lower due to how the torsion bars are set (and shorter rear blocks), but there should be no reason you can't bring it up to the height of the older trucks by cranking the torsion bars up and using older blocks (if applicable)."

"picked the truck up last night it looks like the 2008 has a 1 in block in the rear and decranked t/b."

I think I am gonna go with 32's and once i get the cap I will get the rear end lifted a tad bit to comp. for the weight of the cap. then a few years down the road when i need a new set of tires I will get a 4" superlift and some 33s......

I want to get a westin bull guard...the one with the skid plat but they make one for the 08 ranger but because the front ends are a tad different i dont think it will fit right. I like the look of the bull guard compared to the safari one but i want a guard that does not have the lights sticking out so far as they are the fisrt thing to get damaged. any pics and suggestions

Go with 32x11.50's on a 15x8 wheel. Crank your t-bars and wait till you get the cap to add the aal's and the shackles. Just to give you an idea here's my truck w/ the set up you're looking at:

I like it better this way too. I used to have is coming straight out the back, but I smashed the tips while off-roading and I switched mufflers so I redid it completely. You'll see it in the pics. I just PM'ed you regarding the brush guard.

shadow905 02-06-2008 08:05 AM

go with 32s....the 33s rub too much stock

Rescue 02-06-2008 09:49 AM
