Sounds like something is not right with the brackets, the angles are off. You are using 2.5" springs, right?

Here are the best pictures I have:

Hey man, sorry I just got your PM. I'll give you a call later if you still need help, but yes, the bump stop mounts needed to be trimmed. It's actually mentioned in the brackets thread, and in the how-to that ORW had made back when they were still selling mounts. Once those are trimmed, you can get the coil in without disconnecting the ball joint, but what I found was that it was still easier with the lower control arm dropped.

I need to see if I can find the pictures on my hard drive from when I originally posted them, because they were lost when the Ranger-Forums server issue happened over the winter.

As for rubbing on the frame, you should have enough clearance to get your fingers behind the coils. Something doesn't sound right there. This is the first complaint I've had of this nature.

Yes, I have checked in with him since this thread, and everything is good. Aside from trimming the bump stop mounts, I don't know what else was the issue, but I'm thinking that's all it was. He didn't really give me any info, just that his setup is all installed and everything is good.
