opinions for new shocks

les schwab recommended the mountain ryder xt's for my ranger. Does anyone have any experience with these shocks? Any info you have would be great or even other recommendations!

Alot of people go for bilsteins, definately not the cheapest option though.

its a dd but does get taken off road. I've heard that Ranchos are pretty good as well as the Bilsteins. Any thoughts on the Ranchos?

the ranchos are solid, I prefer the bilstein though I have ranchos on my expo and had bilsteins on my last truck. the ranchos wallow and are not as smoot as the bilsteins. booth better then the les schwab special shocks. If you want a cheap set of shocks, I have my stock shocks off my FX4, they are not the bilsteins but they are the "premium gas charged" and are low miles and your local so thats easy. I would even help ya put them on if ya need it.

Alright, thanks for the information. Ill have to do some more research before i decide. Definitely more lenient toward the bilsteins or the ranchos.. Thanks for the replies!

I just put on some KYBs, they are comparable to the bilstien monotubes imo but about half the price. I haven't taken them off road much yet but so far i like them, the rebound damping is MUCH better then stock.
