Icon5 Rancho 9000's or Bilstein 5100's or others?

I am looking to buy new shocks to accompany the lift I am going to put on my third gen ranger soon. I bought 3'' lift coils off a guy on craigslist cause he's doing a SAS. I plan on seeing what the actual height of my truck will be after I add the coils and camber adjusting parts and then building a leaf pack to level it out in the rear. I love off-roading and crawling but my ranger is my daily driver and I take the interstate everyday to get to work and class in Colorado Springs.

I have heard good things about the Rancho 9000s from the guy I bought the lift from and all his buddies with rangers (SASed and TTB). My buddy from Cali has a desert racer and loves his 5100s. And I can get the 9000's new from a friend for $55 a piece.

My only question is how stiff are the off-road shocks? I would almost rather sacrifice a little off road performance than get beat up on the road everyday. What do you guys run and how do you like the off-road and on-road ride?

noth are nice, the 5100's are soft, the 9000's are a bit stiffer but are adjustable.

Gotcha. I just realized that I can't even get the 5100's for my ride height. They only come in 4+ inches of lift. If they have 9 levels of adjusting, I can't imagine that there wouldn't be some softer settings, right? And I always figured that you'd want softer springs for off-road and stiff was for sports cars?
